Wow! Now *THAT's a case of vandalism! Sgt. Reagan with the Sheriff's Office just sent us a release about some vandals that struck Painted Hills over the weekend, causing some $25,000 in damage.

We're also covering the latest developments with all the wildfires burning in our area. The Chimney Complex down south of Spokane is huge - and growing. Paola Cherzad is there today to observe conditions along the fire lines. Her story is at 5 p.m. on KHQ.

From Okanogan County: Sheriff's deputies there shot and killed a man who attempted to run from them.

And remember the 17 peace protesters in Spokane arrested on the 4th of July? Well, Police Chief Anne Kirkpatrick addressed the issue for the first time today. Our newest reporter, Cindy DeHoog was there and will tell us what happened tonight at 5 p.m.
